Fine Art Inspired
Goals
My idea for the brand was to create one of a kind art school that combines history of art, the art masters techniques in drawing and painting, and all formed the basis for class style to help develop the unique style of each individual student. Classes are fun and educational. Implemented the idea of artists of the week as the assignment in a fun and inspiring way to engage kids in art history, learn about the artist and their masterpieces. I teach kids the value in storytelling and how to make it part of their own work.

Idea
Create one of the kind program that will be not just entertaining but educational. Art history and assessments created based on artist featured in class using artist technics and style. Giving more in-depth understanding of art period, history of art and artists achievements.
Brainstorming
I began brainstorming and drew a mind map to create a visual relationship between what
I believed parents would find appealing about my class and then how do I ensure kids enjoy the learning process.
I arrived at a class structure where I utilize a YouTube video about the artists, conversation about their story, and then draw a pre-selected item the artist would draw. Each kid has their own 16x20” canvass. In turn, their canvasses were taken home for the parents to display. Kids pride clearly exhibited.
Solution
Built the FAI website, created the logo, and ensured a similar color-theme was throughout the pages. Created the art class curriculum which was updated on a weekly basis. Utilized a payment mechanism (PayPal) for online sign-ups. Ensured the site was appealing and informative for the parents. Language was crafted to ensure parents were convinced these classes were going to be fun and inspiring for their kids. Engaged in social media to create awareness of each weekly class and the subject matter artist we were going to learn about. In the first month, I created collateral flyers to distribute at retail locations in the neighborhood. Enlisted support of a network of friends for word-of-mouth advertising.

Challenges
Creating awareness about Fine Art Inspired and stand out from the competition. Budget limitations also prevented me from advertising. I was a startup company.
Research
Primary and secondary research were conducted
Interviews with parents were taken and survey with potential participants or their care givers.
Conversations with students and competitive analysis.
Finding showed that Art Schools in designed communities is really competitive. Having other schools in close proximity is  competition.

Questions I needed to address:
How do I find and connect with my ideal customers?
How do I build credibility and trust?
How do I elicit emotions?
I need to be totally true & authentic. Different to the rest.
How do I build relationships with customers (who will I be to them)?
How should I convey the outcome for them to appreciate?
How will they benefit from FAI?
Competitive Analysis
The area has many other types of art classes for kids, mostly arts & crafts, and none follow a fine art curriculum with the teachings of famous artists and their styles.

SWOT Analysis
To better understand my competition, I conducted a SWOT Analysis:

Based on my SWOT analysis, I decided to focus on the following opportunities:
- Always maintain integrity around teaching Fine Art, a key differentiating factor.
- As a start-up, it will be slow at first and will require time to ensure parents realize the value.
- Emphasize with parents that this teaching method and subject will enhance a child’s creativity.
- Threat could come from some surrounding art classes to mimic FAI style.

User Flow
I created user flows with the MVP's from my survey group.

Testing
I asked a select group of ‘moms’ to visit my site before it went live. Asked users feel comfortable and confident enough to set up a campaign, pay using the site. I conducted usability testing to gather feedback on navigation, the quality of the designs, and to see if users felt the site/brand seemed trustworthy. All stated site was very good.
